On this half-day tour from Cusco, you will discover two of the most fascinating attractions in the Sacred Valley of the Incas: Moray and Maras.
Our first stop will be Moray, an impressive complex of circular terraces that the Incas used as a true agricultural laboratory. Thanks to the difference in altitude between each level, they were able to recreate different microclimates to experiment with seeds and crops, demonstrating their advanced knowledge of agriculture.
We will then continue to the Maras Salt Mines, a unique collection of more than 3,000 natural salt pools that have been managed by local families since ancient times. These salt mines produce high-quality salt that is sold both nationally and internationally, and they offer a truly spectacular landscape.
This tour takes place only in the morning and is ideal for those who want to experience the best of Moray and Maras in a short time.

MARAS – MORAY TOUR (HALF DAY FROM CUSCO)
On this half-day tour, you will travel through the beautiful Urubamba Valley, a historic region located between Cusco and Machu Picchu, famous for its Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and Inca heritage.
Pickup takes place from your hotel between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m., after which we will begin the journey to Moray, with an approximate travel time of 1 hour and 20 minutes. Along the way, you will be able to admire towering snow-capped mountains, vast agricultural fields, and authentic Andean villages. Upon arriving at Moray, we will explore its impressive circular terraces shaped like an amphitheater, built by the Incas and used as an advanced agricultural laboratory to experiment with different microclimates and crops.

This fascinating complex, dating back to the colonial period, features more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountainside.
