ITINERARY | VINICUNCA COLORED MOUNTAIN – ONE-DAY TOUR

The Colored Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, is one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Cusco and an unmissable experience for travelers well acclimatized to the altitude. Early Departure from Cusco

We will pick you up from your hotel between 03:45 a.m. and 05:00 a.m. to begin a 3-hour journey to the foothills of the imposing snow-capped Ausangate Mountain, the highest mountain in the region. During the trip, you will enjoy spectacular Andean landscapes and traditional rural communities.

Upon arrival at the starting point, we will enjoy a box breakfast, followed by a brief informational talk before starting the hike.

Hike to Vinicunca

We will begin the ascent to the Colored Mountain, a challenging but rewarding hike that takes around 2 hours. Along the way, you will see llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, as well as breathtaking views of the Andean mountains.

Upon reaching the main viewpoint, you will have enough time to take photos, admire the natural colors of the mountain, and learn more about the geographical and cultural significance of this sacred place.

Optional: If you prefer, you can ride a horse up or down (service not included), ideal for those who need extra support during the hike.

Descent and Lunch

Return to Cusco
