Itinerary: ATV Tour to the Abode of the Gods, Fortaleza Aqueduct, and Piuray Lagoon
We begin with pick-ups from the Plaza de Armas and nearby hotels in Cusco’s city center. Then, we head out in our private transport for approximately 25 minutes until we reach our base located in the Sencca sector (Tica Tica). Once there, you will be provided with safety equipment and a brief explanation of how to operate the ATVs for about 10 minutes, followed by a short practice session.
Once you are ready, we begin our ATV adventure.
After the practice, we start ascending on the ATVs toward the Qorqor sector, where we will make our first stop to visit the “Abode of the Gods – Apukunaq Tianan.” Here, we will park the ATVs and take a 20-minute walk to explore and take photos of the different sculptures.
After finishing the visit, we get back on the ATVs and continue to our second stop, the “Fortaleza Aqueduct,” located about 20 minutes further along the route. There, we will take a short walk and have a 15-minute photo session.
We then hop back on the ATVs and continue for about 40 more minutes to our third and final stop: Piuray Lagoon, located in the district of Chinchero. Along the way, you will enjoy the beauty of the natural flora and fauna as we pass through four beautiful rural communities and ascend up to 3,900 meters above sea level.
We conclude the tour by returning to our base, where we will board our private transport back to Cusco’s city center, ending our adventure on Shapy Street.
